9.14.12 - Christopher is named a Gustavo Dudamel Conducting Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2012-2013 season.  Responsibilities include conducting a Toyota Symphonies for Youth (TSFY) program, serving as cover conductor for LA Philharmonic subscription programs, and coaching the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA) program; April 1 - May 11, 2013.


8.14.12 - Christopher is awarded the 2012 Aspen Conducting Prize, and concurrently named Assistant Conductor for the 2013 Aspen Music Festival. This is the highest conducting honor awarded by the Aspen Music Festival & School.


8.1.12 - Christopher is re-invited by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra to serve as cover conductor for three programs conducted by Krystof Urbanski and Bramwell Tovey in September 2012.


6.20.12 - Christopher is invited by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra to serve as cover conductor for two programs conducted by Stéphane Danève in July 2012

12.15.11 - Christopher is invited by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to cover conduct for Music Director Leonard Slatkin in April 2012.

11.24.11 - Christopher is invited by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to cover conduct for Thomas Wilkins & Branford Marsalis in concerts at Orchestra Hall.


9.1.11 - Christopher is invited by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to cover conduct for four weeks in 2012.  Additional information available through calendar.


8.19.11 - Christopher is awarded the James Conlon Conducting Prize by the Aspen Music Festival, which carries with it an invitation to return to the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen on Fellowship in 2012.

1.1.11 - Christopher is awarded a fellowship to attend the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen (AACA) at the Aspen Music Festival and School for Summer 2011.  The program is overseen and taught by distinguished guest directors Larry Rachleff, Hugh Wolf, and Robert Spano (June 22 - August 21, 2011).


12.1.10 - Christopher is selected as one of six young conductors from around the country to appear on the Bruno Walter Memorial Foundation National Conductor Preview, hosted by the League of American Orchestras and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.  This showcase features outstanding young conducting talent for industry representatives, administrators, and managers (February 16 - 17, 2011).


5.7.10 - Christopher is selected as one of seven participants in the Conductors Guild workshop at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Workshop in Santa Cruz, CA, taught by Marin Alsop & Gustav Meier (July 30 - August 4, 2010).


4.1.10 - Christopher is selected as one of five international participants in the National Arts Centre Orchestra Conductors Programme, headed by Pinchas Zuckerman and taught by Kenneth Kiesler (June 17 - 29, 2010).


1.14.10 - Christopher is named one of two Music Director finalists with the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra.


11.15.09 - Christopher is awarded the 2009 Arts Alive Award for Rising Star/Young Artist by the Akron Area Arts Alliance for his “contribution to the Arts community.”
